Miriana Giardina | Senior String Instructor
Miriana Giardina is a California-based violist and educator with 13 years of Italian conservatory training, now serving the Los Angeles area. My studio bridges two worlds: I bring European pedagogical traditions into a modern, student-focused approach designed for Southern California’s artistic community.
Performance: Five-year veteran of Italy’s Orchestra Vincenzo Bellini and other local orchestras; experienced in opera and contemporary groups. Plays a 1997 François Lebeau viola.
Pedagogy: Expert in advanced viola techniques and violin-to-viola shifts, emphasizing resilience and genuine expression.
Research: Wrote a 2023 thesis on U.S. music education, shaping her inclusive, adaptive teaching approach.
